On Wednesday Weds 7^th June the Ipswich Group will visit the fascinating Great War Huts Project. It is based at Bells Lane, Hawstead,  IP29 5NW, near Bury St Edmunds. The visit will start at 11:00.

The site has been building for some years. It uses, and reconstructs, original Great War Huts collected from across the country. These contain genuine artefacts to give more of an idea of what soldiers would have encountered at their Training Camps and elsewhere.

A section of a Great War (Western Front) trench system is also being created.
