It’s time to sign up for the jolliest run of the year! Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity annual Santa Fun Run returns to the Colchester Castle Park on Sunday 8th December. You can either run, jog, or walk the 5km or 3km routes around the park. You can choose to fund-raise for one of the Charity’s current appeals: Butterfly Appeal, Cancer Wellbeing Appeal, Children’s Appeal, Staff Wellbeing or for the Ward or Department closest to your heart. A helping hand with parking at Ipswich hospital. Free or reduced parking for those in the greatest need. These include: frequent outpatients attenders, appointments at the cancer cancers and radiotherapy departments, parents of sick children staying overnight including when visiting the Neonatal Unit, blue badge holders and dialysis patients. The NHS has rolled out an expanded mental health support service, “OP Service“, for armed forces veterans. ESNEFT is proud to be a Veteran Aware Trust. ESNEFT’s Armed Forces and Veterans Group (AFVG) ensures serving military personnel and veterans are not disadvantaged when referred for treatment and ensures they are heard at every level. Our Blood Saves Lives is a campaign by Sickle Cell Suffolk. They work, in partnership with the NHS Blood and Transplant, to help recruit Black African, Caribbean and Mixed heritage people to donate blood. They currently need more black male donors.
