Yep, that’s right.
We were catching up with bands, singers, and audience members throughout Ipswich Music Day 2022 as it celebrated its 32nd birthday!

The free event at Christchurch Park took place on the 3rd of July and was home to 6 stages of live music from up and coming local artists. Described as โ€œthe UKโ€™s biggest one-day free music festivalโ€ by its organisers, the event had been cancelled in the two years prior due to COVID complications, but the atmosphere this year showed that everyone was buzzing, ready, and excited to be back!

Sunday’s event was the second day of the Ipswich Music Weekend, the first being the Global Rhythm and Ipswich Jazz Festival on Saturday, to which around 17,000 people attended.

Izaak and Yanis were at the festival:

Fun Fact: Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran once played at the festival in 2009 and 2010! There are many clips on YouTube of his previous Ipswich performances, including this one (can you recognise the logo behind him? ๐Ÿ˜Ž)
