Blank Page was launched in March 2023 and is funded by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activity Fund. The Blank Page Project provides enriching and engaging activities in libraries during the school holidays. Since launching, 3,000 young people have booked onto at least one of 200 workshops with amazing feedback from young people and their parents. The workshops have not only helped to build confidence in young people and enabled them to try new things, but have also proved a great way to get young people more engaged in their local libraries.

Katie Puls, Youth Activities Producer for Suffolk Libraries and coordinator for the programme says, “It’s very exciting we were able to secure further funding for this vital project to support local families and engage teenagers in our libraries. Blank Page has brought many benefits to young people including encouraging socialising, making new friends and easing symptoms of anxiety, alongside providing valuable opportunities to gain skills and help with future career choices.”
