Rick Hobson, presents:

“From Southend to Kabul: a flying career in the RAF.”

Rick will tell ‘interesting’ aspects of his flying training focusing primarily on his Hercules flying experience anecdotes.

Rick did tours as a co-pilot, captain and flight commander in the Falklands, First Gulf War, Balkans, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Plus he brought the new Hercules C130J into service as a squadron commander of XXIV Squadron. He will also reveal a Martlesham Heath Mystery!

As readers are probably aware the Hercules is the workhorse of many Air forces. It is often involved in humanitarian aid flights.

The venue is Martlesham Heath Community Centre, Felixstowe Road, Martlesham Heath, IP12 4PB
