Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum will be holding a special event, ‘Planes, Flames and Automobiles’.
Come for a great day out! Watch and listen to the roar of Mabel the Merlin engine that once powered the fighters that flew during WW2. Enjoy the songs of those war time years, performed by the Three Chordettes. See the classic and military vehicles, plus stalls, food and drink, dancing. Explore the Museum including its bunker and Anderson Shelter. There’s also some games for children, and older children, and other novel attractions. There will be a Grand Raffle, with a top prize of £100 and other fascinating prizes.
Entry to the Event and Museum is FREE – but the Museum say, “We hope you will give generously to help us maintain and improve our (recently repainted) Museum.”
When: Sunday 8th September. Opens at 11am: closes at 4:30pm.
