On 3rd December The Two Man Travelling Medicine Show released their new album ‘Going Nowhere Fast’ from which ‘Life’s Quite Bland’ is taken.
This is the second track from the album, ‘Going Nowhere Fast’, I’ve played. We heard ‘Boomtown’ back in week 2 (7th July). But now, Dorset’s finest Folk Punk crossover band are back with their second album ‘Going Nowhere Fast’.
It was written and recorded during 2020 in an open barn in Witchampton, Dorset. Twisted lyrics and fairground sounds are the order of the day with this acclaimed 8 piece band. They now have an added drummer so expect even more mayhem

Michael Armstrong released ‘Little Girl (Bells of Christmas)’ on December 3rd.
It’s been quite a year for London singer-songwriter Michael Armstrong. Having released his 3rd studio album ‘Ojai’, he found himself at the top of the US Indie Music Singles Chart for a 4-week #1 run. We heard ‘In Each Other’s Eye’s’, from that album, last month, in week 19.
This Christmas sees the release of a new remixed version of his 2016 hit ‘Little Girl (Bells of Christmas)’. The song was originally released as the official single for the 60th Birthday of Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club. It has now been updated as the venue celebrates its imminent 65th Birthday. The track features legendary drummer Brian Bennet from The Shadows.
To top the year off in style and to start 2022 in the vein that he means to go on, Michael will be performing at the prestigious London New Year’s Day Parade on 1st January, alongside the likes of Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle. Organisers have confirmed that the event will be beamed across the globe with a viewing audience of some 600 Million people!

‘The Earth is Full Of Sorrow’ is from an EP released by Adrian Snell as a teaser for his Kintsugi album trilogy which is set for release in January 2022.
Composer, performer and Music Therapist Adrian Snell is known for albums such as ‘The Passion’ and ‘The Cry’, and has performed concerts across the world at venues in London, Amsterdam, Paris and many more.
On Easter Sunday 2020 Adrian surprised his audience with the release of the song: “Breathe, Believe”, especially composed with extraordinary circumstances in mind; namely the ‘celebration’ of Easter in the midst of a global viral pandemic which confined the world’s population to their own homes. In a matter of days, “Breathe, Believe” was enthusiastically heard by thousands of Adrian’s established supporters, and many new to his music. Shortly afterwards he confirmed that work on an album of brand new material had been in progress for three years already.

On 6th December, Murmers of Earth released ‘Unwind’.
Emerging from their COVID induced cocoon, Murmurs of Earth release their latest and most chilled single to date. ‘Unwind’ is a perfectly packaged slice of mellow retro pop, a modern take on an ‘80s vibe.
Murmurs Of Earth are Richard Sinclair and Geoff Pickney. Richard has been writing and recording since the early ‘80s and as a solo artist since ‘03. He was inspired to take a new direction after talking to legendary electronic music pioneer John Foxx. Their first single ‘Take It All’ was released in July ’16 and the début album ‘New Horizons’ in May ’19.
Refreshed and revitalised, Richard & Geoff are busy in the studio recording songs towards their next album release in 2022.

Jane and John are asking, ‘Is It Too Soon For Christmas?’
Jane and John’s festive single ‘Is It Too Soon For Christmas?’ is out now. It was included on last year’s ‘Very Cherry Christmas’ charity compilation, but due to COVID it was only released on Bandcamp, so – with Cherryade Records’ permission – they’ve released the song themselves for Christmas 2021 as they think it’s still relevant!

Paul O’Brien has released a new Christmas anthem, ‘Hey Ho Ho (It’s Christmas)’.
Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studio, ‘Hey Ho Ho (It’s Christmas)’ celebrates being thankful for the year that has passed and for the friends and family that have loved and supported you, but also remembering those who can’t be with you at Christmas, which is particularly poignant following a truly turbulent year. It has everything you could possibly want in a Christmas song: thoughtful lyrics, bright instrumentals and a ruthlessly catchy chorus – so be prepared to be constantly humming the melody throughout this holiday season.
Speaking of the track, Paul says, “Christmas is not only a time for celebration, but also of reflection about what so many people mean to us in our lives, especially the ones most important to us. Unfortunately sometimes we can’t be with them for whatever reason, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate their importance and share it with others. I wrote ‘Hey Ho Ho’ to highlight the importance of rejoicing in that joy rather than regretting their absence.”

Fantasy Video is releasing his second single ‘My Time’ on 10th December.
With a huge dose of alternative rock with massive 90s vibes, Stuttgart based Irish musician and songwriter JP Reid – otherwise known as Fantasy Video – is back and he has found his sound. Like début single ‘Big Tree’, ‘My Time’ features the vocal talents of Dublin based Donal Kennedy. Stephen Leacock on drums has joined Reid and Eoin Whitfield is on mastering duty.
JP wrote ‘My Time’ earlier in the year during an extended booze-free period in his life. Stuck at home with not much else to do, boozing was swapped for a more creative buzz and the end result is an exciting piece of alternative indie rock. Two days were spent during the summer in the impressive Tucan Tonstudio in Stuttgart recording with producer Matthis Schwarz. Reid remembers the experience fondly “I haven’t been in a studio since 2008, so this was a little treat to myself as I thought the song deserved the full treatment. It’s a studio where some German hit singles have been recorded and it had a crazy amount of vintage gear.”
Fantasy Video are on Bandcamp, Facebook and Twitter.
Katelyn Tarver will be releasing ‘Hurt Like That’ on 10th December.
Los Angeles-via-Georgia singer/songwriter Katelyn Tarver debuts her new single ‘Hurt Like That’, a powerful yet poignant track. Co-written with David Hodges) and Andrew Tufano, it follows recent cathartic singles, ‘Nicer’ and ‘All Our Friends Are Splitting Up’. Both of those are from her upcoming new album ‘Subject to Change’. The album is out on all streaming platforms on 12 November and on physical formats on 14 January
Katelyn explains, “’Hurt Like That’ is about that feeling when you’re in the eye of the storm of heartbreak. A moment of clarity of seeing the person who broke your heart for who they really are instead of who you thought they were. You feel tricked and embarrassed and sad and it feels like the only thing that might bring some relief is if they are hurting as much as you are.”
Katelyn has a website, at katelyntarver.com and is on Facebook, Twitter and has Linktr page.
