Continental and American Open Day

Felixstowe Area Group are holding a Continental and American Open Day

Date: Saturday June 11th.

Venue: The Welcome Hall, High Road, Trimley St Mary, Suffolk. IP11 0NT.

This event is being held instead of the usual N Gauge Show as the group have been unable to find a suitable venue in Felixstowe this year.

As is normal for Open Days doors will be open from 11am until 4pm and admission will be free.

Layouts:

American layouts:  Clintons Bend (Ipswich Railway Modellers) a large layout with town scene, prairie and river crossing, and Sutherland (Felixstowe n Gauge) small town an industrial area.

Continental Layouts (club member layouts): Obertonberg, southern Germany 1965-75; Hindenbach, detailed compact figure-8 which can run Bavarian, DRG or Swiss and Hartenberg, highly detailed German tramway 1930s.

Trade: Scograil (Europe) + demonstration layout, Wookery Nook Scenics + small s/hand selection and “The Middy”.

 

Getting there: There is free, on street parking. First Ipswich buses to Felixstowe stop opposite the Hall. Trimley Station, just a short walk away, is on the Greater Anglia Ipswich/Felixstowe line.
