Looking For Me Friend: The Music of Victoria Wood‘ is a celebration of the music of the late comedy genius. It will celebrate reaching its 100th performance when it plays Leiston Film Theatre. The show will be on Sunday 17 September 2023 at 7.30pm. To mark the occasion, the lucky buyer of the 100th ticket sold will receive a free goodie bag. It will be full of show merchandise, worth £100. The goodies include a branded tea towel, shopper bag, up-cycled make-up bag, set of five badges, apron, double oven-glove and a poster signed by the cast.

Paulus wrote and performs the show. Multi-award-winning cabaret artist Sarah-Louise Young is the director. Love, laughter and fabulous memories for Victoria Wood fans fill the show. It is also the ultimate ‘beginner’s guide’ for audiences new to her work.

Many of Victoria’s best-loved songs through the decades are featured in the nostalgic evening of entertainment including ‘It Would Never Have Worked’, ‘Reincarnation’ and, of course, the classic ‘Ballad of Barry & Freda (Let’s Do It)’, as well as some of her lesser-known and more poignant compositions.

The highly acclaimed Musical Director Michael Roulston joins Paulus on stage. They will prove what many have known for decades: it takes two men to do the work of one woman!

Paulus said, “After a busy but glorious year on the road, receiving a warm audience welcome from Edinburgh to St Austell and venues far and wide in between, Michael and I are thrilled to be celebrating our 100th show in such a beautiful and intimate setting as Leiston Film Theatre. We can’t wait to share our special memories of Victoria, the laughter and perhaps some tears, with her fans old and new. Here’s to the next 100 shows!”
